Silent Auctions and Door Prizes

Back by popular demand is SCBWI-Houston’s Fabulous Silent Auction. Items include free SCBWI conference registrations, autographed books, and much more. Use cash, credit card or checks to pay for the items you win in auction. All proceeds go to the Houston SCBWI scholarship fund. Door prizes will be given out to attendees throughout the day.

Will you Create for the Auction?

Items up for bid are one-of-a-kind art pieces as well as original illustrations and prints.  All of the proceeds from the Silent Art Auction go to future SCBWI illustrator events. Payment must be in the form of cash or credit card or check. Contact Carmela Simmons if you would like to donate an original illustration or print.

Blue Willow Bookstore: How to Sell Books at the Conference.

Blue Willow Bookstore will again set up our conference bookstore on September 29, 2018. The bookstore will include books by and recommended by our faculty, as well as some of our member books. Published SCBWI members who are registered for the conference by September 1, 2018, are eligible to have one of their books for sale in the conference bookstore. Any visiting or local faculty members who are providing critiques may have multiple books sold.
The deadline to register for our conference bookstore is September 1. If you are an author or illustrator who plans to sell books at our conference bookstore, please download the NEW forms from Blue Willow Bookshop below.

If you mail them, please allow time for them to reach Blue Willow no later than September 1.
An Author Table will also be available where authors may sell their own books, either traditionally published or self-published on
Saturday September 29.

SATURDAY DINNER AND SOCIAL

Come visit with the speakers and attendees after the conference for dinner for $30. Cash bar available. Dinner, literary games, DJ and dancing.
